Founded in 1982, Wright Hotels, Inc. is a Seattle-based hospitality investment and asset-management firm with more than four decades of experience investing in, repositioning, and actively managing high-quality hotel assets. The firm was formally spun out of the Wright family platform in 1998, establishing an independent, hospitality-focused investment and asset-management business, while remaining affiliated with the Wright family office, a prominent and long-standing investment platform in Seattle.
Wright Hotels was founded by Howard S. Wright, former principal of Howard S. Wright Construction Company and Wright Runstad & Co., and a founding investor in landmark assets such as the Seattle Space Needle and the Sheraton Grand Seattle hotel. The firm's legacy was carried forward by Stuart T. Rolfe and his wife Lee Wright Rolfe, daughter of Howard S. Wright. Since the 1998 ownership transition, Stuart has led Wright Hotels with an emphasis on disciplined capital allocation, opportunistic investing, and hands-on asset management to drive long-term value. In 2026, the firm completed a planned transition to third-generation leadership, with Kyle Rolfe, son of Stuart and Lee, assuming majority ownership and leadership responsibilities. As part of this transition, Wright Hotels has strengthened its senior leadership team, combining generational continuity with institutional experience across real estate, finance, and technology to expand the firm's capabilities, processes, and external partnerships.
Today, Wright Hotels serves as the asset manager for a portfolio of hospitality investments across the West Coast and Pacific Northwest. The firm targets high-quality hotel assets that benefit from active ownership, disciplined capital investment, and operational improvement, supported by a hands-on asset-management culture rather than short-term financial engineering. Looking ahead, Wright Hotels continues to pursue opportunistic, value-add, and redevelopment-oriented hospitality investments, while selectively expanding its investor base and strategic capital partnerships. With deep internal development, construction, finance and asset-management expertise, the firm has built the infrastructure and expertise to pursue asset transformation opportunities, and selective ground-up development where risk-adjusted returns are compelling.
